The pendulous blossoms of my flowering currant are a wonderful dark pink and are popular with bees.
I’m guessing mine is Ribes sanguineum ‘King Edward VII’ as it is upright in habit.
As you can see the little clusters of flower buds open from the base. I am not sure how well suited it is to cutting, but this little sprig in my vase is brightening up a grey day.
