Time was tight so I made a very quick visit to the Contemporary Textiles Fair yesterday.  The Landmark Arts Centre is housed in a beautiful Victorian Grade II listed building, formerly the Church of St Alban the Martyr.  Apparently the design, in the French Gothic style, was based on a 13th century church in France.

There were many talented makers and it was lovely to see some familiar faces.  I bumped into Alison as soon as I walked through the door.

Then the bubbly Jo Dewar also from Worcester

who weaves innovative things from colourful wire

and finally, another fellow WGDC member Vicky Baker from Caversham who creates stylish tailored handbags

from hand-dyed linen.

One of my favourite stands was that of Sue Britton from Dorset whose work 'Dogs in Stitches' really made me smile.

Did you visit the Fair?  If so which were your favourites?  And if you were an exhibitor any feedback would be interesting as I may look to set up stand there myself next year.
