Yesterday I sent a pair of funky little wall shades to a customer in London. They featured a design I haven’t used for a while, but in contemporary colours.
It seems they are very much on trend as a double-page spread in the Times’ Bricks and Mortar supplement today announces that grey is taking over as the new neutral in interiors and will dominate homewares this autumn.
Of course, they say the sombre hue fits the prevailing ‘age of austerity’, but twinned with deep red or mustard yellow, I think it takes on an air of confidence and style.
What do you think?
