Map Lampshades made to order
So many of us love maps, but keep them tucked away in
a drawer, at a loss to know how to display them.
Sarah reclaims old maps and turns them into pieces of
functional art! She can make lampshades from your
own map or source one for you.
We all have places that hold fond memories and by
using a map with significance, Sarah can create
an original gift that is truly personalised.
Map Half Lamps
Sarah's signature half-shade is designed and made
exclusively by her. It is slim and backless allowing
light to bounce off the wall behind. It is perfect as a
table lamp for hall consoles, corner tables, shelves and
bedside tables.
A half map shade can focus on a very specific place of
significance, making it ideal as a wedding, retirement,
anniversary or christening present.
The table lamp features a bespoke lampbase hand-crafted
from a choice of English woods. It has quality British-made
60W brass or chrome-plated switched fittings, white or
gold flex and 3amp plug. It can accommodate bayonet
low-energy bulbs.

Map Drum Shades
Reclaimed vintage maps can also be made into drum
shades suitable for your own table lamp, floor lamp or
ceiling pendant. Sarah appliques coloured papers over the
folds of Ordnance Survey maps and hand rolls the edges
of the shade. Shades made using the fabric-backed
Bartholomew's maps have their edges bound. All Sarah's
shades are made from original maps, NOT photocopies.
Often the map itself governs the size and proportion
of the shade.

Prices A complete lamp with map half-shade created especially for you will cost £125 - this includes
sourcing the map, the hand-crafted shade, the bespoke lampbase and UK postage and packing.
If you would like a pair of lamps featuring two maps of significance the price will be £230.
