Today I am off to set up my display at the Worcestershire Guild of Designer Craftsmen Winter Show in Worcester, UK. New work produced for the show is inspired by the beautiful shape and colour of acer leaves.
This one is from the tree we pass every day on our walk to and from school. It makes me smile each time I see it and the boys and I cannot resist collecting our favourite leaves that drop to the ground.
Here are two of the resulting lamps.
I managed to squeeze in a trip to Hidcote Manor Garden in the Cotswolds just before it closed for the winter and the sun really brought out the colours of those autumn leaves.
The show is at St Helen’s on the High Street in Worcester and runs from tomorrow 22 – Saturday 24 November, with a private view tonight. I hope you can join us.
