Description

Dark red and cream linocut Victorian houses slim lamp

Please note this particular lamp is now sold, but a similar one can be made to order

A handcut original linoprint of a row of Victorian houses adorn this half shade crafted from plant-fibre paper.  Handprinted in a hand-mixed rich red ink on textured cream paper.

Half shades are ideal for narrow spaces, making the best lamps for bedside tables, hall consoles, mantelpieces and bookshelves.  They have a neat, slim footprint and the half shade allows the light to reflect off the wall behind.

Lampshade dimensions:

Shade only: 25cm high x 25cm wide x 12.5cm deep with hand-rolled edges and a clear, flame retardant PVC backing. It will fit an E27 and B22 lampholder.

Lamp dimensions:

Complete lamp with bespoke wooden base – lamp size: 36cm x 25cm x 12.5cm.  The lampbase is handmade in Worcestershire from oak with chromed brass fittings (not the one shown in the photos).  It has 60W British-made switched lamp holder (bayonet fitting), 175cm white flex and UK 3amp plug.

Half shade as a wall light

The half shade can be purchased with a 60W B22 lampholder (with inline switch, 2m white cable and 3amp plug) for use as a surface mounted wall light or plug in wall light.  It is also suitable for use with many wired in wall light fittings with a B22 or E27 threaded lampholder, just order shade only.

Half shade for a table lamp

This half shade is available with a bespoke base but is also suitable for use on your own lamp base and is perfect for a console table or bedside cabinet, taking up less space than a conventional shade while bouncing light off the wall behind.  It will fit a B22 or E27 lampholder, just order shade only.
