Linocut Pebbles appliquéd half lampshade
A striking one-off demi-lune lampshade handprinted with linocut beach pebbles and appliqued with coloured plant-fibre paper. Almost black ink pebbles with sand, green and terracotta coloured plant-paper on a cream background with metallic thread stitching. Can be used as a wall shade or atop a your own lampbase.
Shade dimensions:
Shade size: 19cm high x 36cm wide x 15.5cm deep, with hand-rolled edges and a clear, flame retardant PVC backing.
Half shade as a wall light
This wide half shade can be used either with a wired in wall light fitting which has a threaded lampholder or bought with a 60W B22 lampholder (with inline switch, 2m white cable and 3amp plug) for use as a surface mounted wall light or plug in wall light. The shade can be simply hung from two picture hooks. Customers keen to update their half-bowl uplighters have found that this wide shade can often be hung over the lampholder left behind when the bowl is removed (but please check your fitting first as designs do vary).
This handprinted demi-lune shade will add colour and texture to your wall and light up a dark corner or hallway.
Half shade for a table lamp
Large half shades are also suitable for use on your own lamp base and are perfect for console tables and side tables, taking up less space than a conventional shade while bouncing light off the wall behind. They will fit a B22 lampholder. If you are local to me in Worcestershire, I can provide a converted glass demijohn base which works particularly well with this shade. Half shades are ideal for narrow spaces such as console tables and bedside tables taking up less space than a conventional drum shade of similar diameter.
